MISSION STATEMENT
To provide an educational opportunity for each student of St. Malachy School to mature spiritually, intellectually, culturally, socially and physically.
Hi! My name is Jennifer Fox, I am the 7th grade homeroom teacher but I also teach grades 4-8. I am married to my husband Michael, a St. Malachy School alum, and we have four children, Jacob, Tucker, Cooper, and Cora. The three boys currently attend St. Malachy as well. Cora has a few years to go before joining us! We try to be active in our school and church communities as well as our village, I also serve on the Village Board as a Trustee.        I currently teach a large array of classes.  I have Social Studies for 5 th -8 th  grades, 7 th   grade Math, and Spanish for 4-8 th .  5 th  Social Studies touches on geography and US History, 6 th  focuses on World History, and 7 th  and 8 th  take American History from the Colonial period through the mid-twentieth century as well as US and Illinois Constitution.  Spanish focuses on basic vocabulary units as well as some grammar and verb usage.  This is the second year that Spanish has been expanded below 7 th  grade, so hopefully we will have some proficient speakers as the program continues!     In Social Studies we have several projects throughout the years from creating Native American dwellings and Egyptian Pyramids to creating Twitter accounts for Lewis and Clark and making movies about World War II. In all of my classes we incorporate technology in many ways including online practice, SMARTBoard lessons, interactive review games, and using various presentation tools. We also are focusing on developing note-taking, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Some of these are incorporated into our daily lessons, and some take the form of large research projects.
